If you read the handbook you will see that it won't start until you fix the blower or vac tubes to the blower body. This is a safety precaution. If you look into the tube housing you will se a yellow piece of plastic. This must be depressed to by fitting the tube. Once you have done this it should start without a problem.

Mick , I've a snapper self drive mower . Starts and runs fine until I try to cut grass. Boggs down and almost stops the engine . All is cleaned below deck and sharp . New plug /filters and oil . Any idea what is the issue?

Got a Cobra mower where the cable came disconnected, cant see a spring. Do some mowers connect without one?

Don’t suppose you know what could be causing the pully to pull intermittently first pull it self propels ok but when held down doesn’t have much guts if any? Hope that makes sense?

Cut your fuel line and install one of Briggs small doughnut shaped fuel filters. It will stop small garbage that plugs your carb from happening hence the surging sound or not running. Change the filter each season.

Happy B-Day Young man!! I remember all those stressful days caring for my parents! I've had to have a similar conversation with my daughter recently as I am beginning to be a stress on her with my own health issues not to mention the stresses with insurance and medications! Ohhh life and getting older is something to behold.. Nice tool haul my friend,,,nice table too and mower project! I've been aware of the UA-cam issue for some time now. The automatic setting is designed for the most common system and to save bandwidth. Most people watch on older phones and in the vertical, oddly this is the world of tech these days. This has a tendency to force the lower resolution and requires less bandwidth also less stress on the devices and network connectivity not to mention less stress for UA-cam! These days most of my footage is recorded in 4k, some 1080p but all my final video renders are in 4k then uploaded. I find this to be the workaround. This forces a higher quality setting on youtube's end. When someone goes to view one of my videos, UA-cam sends the signal (API) to the automatic setting (Viewer) to choose the higher quality as one would assume however most often the choice made isn't 4k, its 1080p. I've mentioned this in more depth on my live shows from time to time in my tech segments on camera tech, UA-cam tech. Your correct, recording in a higher resolution will force the workaround but isn't really a fix as its the viewer and UA-cam that's the issue. Viewers can't hold their phone in widescreen, cant find our homepage or folders, have no clue as to the technology either lol This workaround causes a cascade issue, larger video files and more storage needed, faster computer for editing and so forth. Many content people have gotten away from action camera's due to their issues and lack of camera settings. Many have upgraded to more conventional video camera's that are dedicated to the task. Even the newer iPhone and the like. This issue is a real pain and can get expensive to fix on our end! I suspect the API signal (application interface) is the real culprit.

Thanks for the great video my 48 pro wasn't driving proper so I have used this video to check the roller indeed it did need replacing and have replaced but on inspection it seams this was not the only problem what is is the chain on the top drive sprocket is binding against the mount so much so it's started to wear a groove in the mount behind the top drive cog any ideas thanks

pretty sure those float pins are tapered, will only come out one way. Usually the longer end is the narrow end so you need to push it back, not pull it through.

The recommended balancer for a workshop is a Magna-Matic Mag1000 never known B/S recommend a nail to balance you learn something everyday . By the way been repairing horticultural machinery for nearly 30 years now .

I've just replaced the pinion and gear but now I can't push the mower it moves when pulling leaver but can't manually push it now?

Hi Mick, love the channel. Quicky for you. Belt keeps jumping off my stihl 545,main drive pulley. Any ideas how it tensions? There's no tension spring I can see on the gear box like on other setups, or am I missing something? The pulley does spring clamp onto the belt and so "grabs" it, but after a few hours seems to throw it off again.
